Qld: ABC to announce new Brisbane headquarters

The ABC's due to announce a new site for its Brisbane operations this morning .. after
abandoning its old building following a spate of cancer cases.

Staff moved out of the national broadcaster's Toowong premises two years ago after
it was discovered their incidence rate of breast cancer was six times higher than average.

To date .. 17 staff have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Plans to build at Newstead were dumped amid claims the site was contaminated.
